Jockey Tyler Schiller is in the box seat to claim his first Inglis Millennium aboard Price Tag

Tyler Schiller has declared it will take a good horse to beat Victorian filly Price Tag in the $2 million Inglis Millennium, provided she adapts to the clockwise direction of racing.

Price Tag assumed outright $4 betting apps favouritism after drawing barrier 11 on Tuesday, while several of the other leading fancies were dealt difficult gates, including Rivellino (16) and unbeaten youngster Within The Law (18).

Schiller made the trip to Melbourne to partner Price Tag when she finished runner-up to the highly-regarded My Gladiola in the Blue Diamond Preview (1000m) at Sandown last month and came away impressed.

“She is a nice little filly. She’s got plenty of upside,” Schiller said.

“She is still doing a little bit wrong. I rode her last (start) and she is still a bit raw, but I think if she can come up here and do everything right, it will take a good horse to beat her.”

A $600,000 Easter Sale purchase, Price Tag is by proven stallion Zoustar out of smart mare Humma Humma and is in her second racing campaign having placed in the Maribyrnong Trial (1000m) on debut in the spring and finished fourth in the Maribyrnong Plate (1000m).

After partnering her first-up at Sandown, Schiller believes the filly will be a natural when it comes to handling the reverse direction of racing at Randwick.

“I don’t know if she has worked the Sydney way, but she should handle it well,” he said.

“If anything, she wanted to hang right so she should be better suited up here. Hopefully.”

A capacity field of 16 plus four emergencies as been assembled for the Inglis Millennium (1100m) with Price Tag one of two runners for trainers Anthony and Sam Freedman along with Bubion.

To be ridden by apprentice Zac Wadick, the filly finished midfield in the Blue Diamond Preview but was stakes placed on debut at Caulfield in the spring.
