South Australian apprentice jockey Rachael Kraemer is reported to be in a stable condition after undergoing surgery for injuries sustained in a recent fall.
Kraemer was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital on Wednesday following a riding accident at a private property near Murray Bridge.
In a statement issued by her family and Racing SA, it was confirmed she is receiving the best possible medical attention.
βShe is resting comfortably and receiving exemplary medical care,β the statement read.
βWe are optimistic about Rachaelβs recovery and will continue to monitor her progress closely.β
Kraemer, who is apprenticed to trainer John Hickmott, only recently began her race riding career, debuting at Quorn on August 16 before having her second race ride at Strathalbyn last week.
