The weight of money on the Champions Mile at Flemington has kind of surprisingly been for Pride Of Jenni who failed to fire in the Cox Plate last time out with punters thinking she can bounce back from that lacklustre run when finishing eight of nine in the Cox Plate.
“I must admit we’re all quite surprised at the level of activity in Pride Of Jenni with almost 70 per cent of the early money,” Daffy said.
“She’s $5.50 into $4 with that jockey change and talk of her going for a spell, but that’s been dismissed as she’s hugely popular.
“Mr Brightside holds his spot, but Antino is the second most popular with TAB after that win last start.
“Down the field you’re getting some big prices such as Another Wil at $10, which we hardly ever see at that price.
“I think in the next 24 hours there will be plenty of interest in some of those other chances at those prices.”
