Superstar sprinter Nature Strip is gearing up for a significant pre-spring evaluation as he prepares to grace the tracks at Rosehill for a trial on Friday.
Following an uncharacteristic winless spell during the autumn campaign, the nine-year-old, boasting more than $20 million in winnings, is set to test his mettle over 900 meters.
The trial will pit him against the likes of G1-winning juvenile Militarise, Nugget, and G1 Surround Stakes victor Sunshine In Paris.
After enjoying an extended hiatus, trainer Chris Waller is optimistic about Nature Strip’s return to form this spring.
Anticipation surrounds his upcoming first-up appearance in the G3 Concorde Stakes (1000m) at Randwick on September 2.
This week’s trials will also feature other equine luminaries, including Alligator Blood, Alcohol Free, Hoo Ya Mal, Knight’s Order, and Sir Lucan from the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable.
