Nash Rawiller is confirmed to ride Chris Waller’s standout mare, Fangirl, for the Group 1 Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.
Fangirl, a star of the Sydney spring, has dominated recent races with wins in the Group 1 Winx Stakes and Randwick’s Group 1 King Charles III Stakes.
James McDonald, her usual jockey, has commitments with Romantic Warrior, paving the way for Rawiller’s shot at the Cox Plate.
Most Australian online bookmakers have Fangirl listed around the $9.00 mark in Cox Plate odds while Romantic Warrior is the favourite at around $4.60.
