Champion stayer Without A Fight has been official retired from racing as announced on X by training partnership Anthony & Sam Freedman.
The Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup winner has been official retired following a trial this morning which the horse indeed won by a small margin.
In 2023, he claimed the Brisbane Winter Carnival double before becoming the first horse since Ethereal in 2001 to secure the Caulfield Cup – Melbourne Cup double.
Without A Fight prior to being retired was being aimed at a Queensland Winter Carnival preparation with the Q22 being his main goal before another Spring campaign.
