Melbourne Cup winner Almandin has been retired
Melbourne Cup winner Almandin has been officially retired after another disappointing finish in the Group One Ranvet Stakes at Rosehill.
Almanin won the 2016 Melbourne Cup for Team Williams as well as the G1 Tancred Stakes but has failed to find that form in his past three starts and has been retired from racing as announced by owner Nick Williams on twitter.
