Material Man ridden by Lucy Warwick and trained by her father Justin Warwick has taken out Monday’s Group 2 Perth Cup at Ascot.
Material Man jumped has the heavily backed favourite and looked to have the race won quite easily at the 200m mark until the grey Pounamu found a gap and hit the line strongly with the judge needing a look at the photo to decide on a winner.
