Jungle Edge has been stripped of his G3 D C McKay Stakes win
Fan favourite Jungle Edge has been stripped of his Group Three D C McKay Stakes win after returning a positive.
South Australian stewards announced this afternoon that Jungle Edge had been disqualified from his win in the G3 D C McKay Stakes in May after returning a positive sample to Meloxicam which is a substance prohibited under the Rules of Racing.
Stewards have also charged trainer Michael Bell and have fined him $10,000.
Behemoth has now been awarded as the winner of the race after the new results were announced.
