WA trainer Jim Enright will face stewards in relation to the alleged administration of a substance before this years Broome Cup meeting.
Course investigator Geoff Johnson reported he saw Jim Enright allegedly injecting a substance into African Gypsy in the stabling area at the Broome Turf Club.
African Gypsy was subsequently scratched from the race as was Enright’s other runner on the day ‘Montoyas’. Both runners were to be sent out at big odds in their races but had been well backed prior to being scratched.
A date for the inquiry is yet to be announced.
