Long-time Sydney trainer Tommy Wong could have one of the most exciting horses of his career in Hostwin King, who will be given an important spring test in Saturday’s Listed The Rosebud at Rosehill.
The three-year-old son of King’s Legacy will start as one of the outsiders against a field containing runners from some of Sydney’s biggest stables, including Chris Waller, Tulloch Lodge and Bjorn Baker.
However, Hostwin King’s potential has given Wong reason to believe he can measure up as the colt attempts to put himself on a path towards the Golden Rose.

A significant part of his operation has involved preparing and trading Australian thoroughbreds for the Hong Kong market, where demand for emerging local talent remains strong.
