Two stands out this week both from the Warrnambool Carnival.
Dhaafer: An import from the Aaron Purcell yard. Had his first start today in Australia over 1700m in a Quality Maiden. The 2nd Horse 5 lengths clear with 150m left to go but Dhaafer was able to run it down and beat it on the post. Quality galloper going somewhere in the near future.
Possible Targets: Warracknabeal Cup or Terang, Ballarat, Bendigo cups in the spring.
Second Effort: Finally got that group win in the Wangoom. He now looks like going on with the job and will be more competitive now in the stronger group races. Came from well back to win the wangoom getting it on the post. WATCH very closely.
Possible Targets: Gilgai Stakes, Emirates, Epsom Handicap, Sir Rupert Clarke and Stradbroke Handicap.
