Multiple Group 1 winning Godolphin galloper Hartnell is unlikely to run in the Caulfield Cup despite sitting on the second line of betting before the announcement.
Godolphin trainer James Cummings told Sky Racing that it was unlikely Hartnell will head to the Caulfield Cup 2017 because he feels the horse will not be able to turn the tables on Humidor with the difference in weights.
Hartnell had been the early favourite for the Caulfield Cup before his loss in the Underwood Stakes, he is now likely to run in Saturday weeks G1 Caulfield Stakes.
Trainer @JamesCummings88 says at this point Hartnell is doubtful 2 run Caulfield Cup. Would be hard to beat Humidor with weight difference.

Further on Hartnell… Expect him to run in the Caulfield Stakes on Saturday week. @SchofieldGlyn has been booked by @godolphin to ride.
