Tom Stockdale has secured a dream ride aboard Military Tycoon in Saturday’s $5 million Golden Slipper at Rosehill.
Connections of the filly, raced by Bennett Racing, paid the final acceptance fee to confirm her spot in the prestigious race.
Trainer Ciaron Maher’s Military Tycoon will be his only runner in the Golden Slipper this year, with the full field of 16 plus two emergencies revealed on Tuesday morning.
Stockdale, who steered the Written Tycoon filly to victory in the Group 3 Ottawa Stakes at Flemington on March 8, will retain the ride for the richest juvenile race in the world.
Military Tycoon has drawn barrier 12 in Tuesday morning’s barrier draw and is at $34 with online betting sites.
