In Chris Waller’s weekly ‘Stable Talk’ segment on Youtube he mentioned there was a possibility that emerging star Egg Tart could take on champion mare Winx in this years Cox Plate.
Egg Tart who has won six of her seven career starts including an emphatic win in the G1 Queensland Oaks last start will be aimed at the 2017 Epsom Handicap in the Spring and Waller said if she was to win the Epsom her next likely target would be the 2017 Cox Plate where she will bump into Winx.
Racing fans this week have compared the two runners with the notion that Egg Tart could be the next Winx, if things go to plan we may see them battle it out down the iconic Moonee Valley straight.
