Group 1-winning jockey Daniel Moor is set for a fresh chapter in his career, relocating from Victoria to Queensland in search of greater riding opportunities.
Moor, 40, has already plied his trade internationally with stints in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Mauritius, and now turns his attention to establishing himself in the Sunshine State early in the new racing season.
Before finalising his decision, Moor consulted with fellow globetrotting riders Michael Rodd and Luke Currie, both of whom offered advice and insight into the move north.
He will maintain his partnership with emerging stayer Thedoctoroflove at Moonee Valley on Saturday before making the switch.
Across his career, Moor has ridden more than 1100 winners, including four at Group 1 level โ the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes on Sierra Sue, the Moir Stakes on Wild Ruler, the Manikato Stakes aboard Jonker, and the Australasian Oaks with Glint Of Hope.
