Globe has officially secured his place in this year’s prestigious Cox Plate after connections paid the $200,000 late-entry fee on Wednesday.
The decision comes just days after the talented galloper surged into Cox Plate contention with a stunning upset victory in last Saturday’s Group 1 Might And Power Stakes at Caulfield.
Following several days of deliberation, Racing Victoria confirmed on Wednesday that Globe’s owners had opted to pay the fee, ensuring the rising star takes his place in the weight-for-age championship at Moonee Valley later this month.
