The Magic Millions (SA) 3YO and 4YO Classic over 1200m at Murray Bridge turned out to be little more than a cakewalk for the Tom Dabernig trained Shadhavar.
The $2.05 race favourite won even more easily than the official 2.33 length margin suggests with Jacob Opperman taking the chestnut daughter of Pride Of Dubai to the front early from which moment he had the race firmly under control.
Having taken an early grip on the race, Shadhavar proceeded to shake all of the fight out of her opposition soon after entering the straight, sprinting clear to have the race won a long way from home.
Her previous three starts, all at Caulfield, a win and two second placings, suggested Shadhavar had the potential to put in a big run here with the only question mark being that this was a first-up assignment after just under a five month layoff.
There was no need for concern.
This was as emphatic a victory as the Dabernig camp could have hoped for and it took Shadhavarβs race record to four wins from thirteen starts with $244,000 banked in prize-money.
