Despite saying this morning there was a small chance of Champion sprinter Chautauqua may make a race return, managing owner Rupert Legh has since stated he would not return from retirement.
Speaking to RSN Legh said he was misinterpreted on RadioTAB this morning and to knock any chance the star sprinter will race again on the head.
“Won’t happen. He’s retired. That’s the end of it. I should have made that clearer,” Rupert Legh told RSN.
Chautauqua’s connections called time on his career in September last year, after amassing more than $8.8 million in prize money and six Group One wins.
