Apprentice riders Jackson Radley and Ryan Houston will both spend time on the sidelines following careless riding suspensions incurred at Caulfield on Saturday.
Senior jockey Beau Mertens will also be out of action after being handed a seven-meeting suspension for a whip breach aboard Taken, the runner-up in the eighth race.
Mertens’ suspension will commence on April 19 and conclude following the day meeting on April 24.
Houston pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge stemming from the opening race, where an incident occurred near the 1400-metre mark while he was aboard runner-up Aura. He received a suspension of 10 meetings.
Fellow apprentice Jackson Radley also admitted to his charge of careless riding after the sixth race, involving runner-up Bossy Nic, and was suspended for eight meetings.
