Emerging jumps jockey Campbell Rawiller encountered a setback on Tuesday at Warrnambool, as he reportedly sustained a suspected fracture in his left collarbone during a fall.
Rawiller was aboard the $1.20 betting site favourite Teofilo Star, trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, during the opening jumps race of the season when the incident occurred. The fall also involved Darryl Horner Jnr, who was riding Serenade The Stars.
According to Racing.com’s on-course correspondent Matt Stewart, Rawiller was in communication with medical personnel while being transported into an ambulance for further evaluation.
Fortunately, both horses involved in the incident, as well as Horner Jnr, returned to the mounting yard unscathed.
