Darley has released its 2025 stallion service fees for Australia, presenting a strong lineup of 14 stallions across its New South Wales and Victoria studs. The roster features a mix of proven champions, rising stars, and exciting newcomers.
Heading the lineup is Too Darn Hot (GB), returning to Australia at a fee of $275,000. A four-time Group 1 winner and Champion 2YO, he has already made a significant mark as a young sire overseas.
“Too Darn Hot is, without question, one of the most exciting young sires in the world right now,” said Alastair Pulford, Head of Stallions at Darley. “His return to Australia is a significant moment for breeders looking to access elite bloodlines.”
Joining the roster for the first time is Broadsiding, a Golden Rose and Rosehill Guineas winner and son of Too Darn Hot. He will stand for $66,000.
“Broadsiding is the kind of horse that gets people excited—he’s got the pedigree, the performance, and now the opportunity to prove himself at stud,” Pulford said.
Anamoe, a nine-time Group 1 winner and the reigning Horse of the Year, has had his fee reduced slightly to $110,000, down from $121,000.
“Anamoe’s first crop of weanlings is creating a real buzz. He’s already a legend on the track, and he’s showing signs of passing that brilliance to his offspring,” Pulford commented.
Harry Angel (IRE), the sire of Group 1 winners Tom Kitten and Private Harry, has seen a significant increase in his service fee, rising to $66,000 from $38,500.
“What Harry Angel achieved in the past 12 months speaks for itself. The demand is real, and the price reflects that success,” Pulford said.
Another new addition is Traffic Warden, a Group 2-winning son of Street Boss, who will stand for $22,000 in New South Wales.
Darley’s 2025 roster in New South Wales includes Anamoe ($110,000), Bivouac ($55,000), Broadsiding ($66,000), Harry Angel (IRE) ($66,000), Native Trail (GB) ($27,500), Pinatubo (IRE) ($38,500), Too Darn Hot (GB) ($275,000), Traffic Warden ($22,000), and Victor Ludorum (GB) ($11,000).
In Victoria, the stallions and fees are Street Boss (USA) ($66,000), Cylinder ($44,000), Brazen Beau ($27,500), Kermadec ($13,750), and Paulele ($11,000).
“We’ve curated a roster that we believe delivers both exceptional quality and commercial appeal,” Pulford concluded. “Whether breeders are looking for proven Group 1 producers or the next big thing, Darley has a stallion to suit.”
