Sydney jockey Brenton Avdulla has suffered a fractured neck in a fall at Randwick on Saturday.
Avdulla was aboard stakes winning filly Xtremetime when the horse fell in the straight and Avdulla was rushed to the Prince of Wales hospital in which the star jockey suffered a fractured C7 and a bleed to the brain.
The John Thompson trained filly Xtremetime was sadly euthanised on course.
Brenton Avdulla will now likely be sidelined for the duration of the Spring racing carnival due to his injuries.
