Renowned jockey Brad Rawiller is set to Victoria’s riding ranks, starting with Tuesday’s meeting on the synthetic track at Ballarat, where he has secured three rides.
Rawiller’s decision to leave Victoria in 2020 and venture interstate, beginning in Western Australia, brought him success and feature wins, but the limited number of riding days posed a challenge.
Reflecting on his time in the west, Rawiller expressed his desire to ride every day and acknowledged the convenience of Victoria’s racing scene.
He fondly recalled his previous six-week stretch of riding every day in Victoria and affirmed his excitement to regain momentum and get his life back on track in Melbourne.
“Victoria is where I have ridden most of my winners, probably 2500-plus winners in Victoria and always had pretty good support all around.”
Recognizing the opportunities and support he has received in the state, he added, “I just thought I wanted to get back going again in the winter in Melbourne and get my life back on track.”.
Rawiller’s return signifies a homecoming filled with anticipation, as he aims to reignite his career, build on his impressive track record, and forge ahead with a fresh chapter in his horseracing journey.
