Black Caviar’s first foal to race ‘Oscietra’ has officially been retired.
Oscietra on face value did not live up to the hype that surrounded her being the first foal of unbeaten champion mare Black Caviar with her highest rated win being a BM64.
Oscietra raced five times winning on two occasions although she was disappointing at her latest outing at Sandown where she led and weakened to run eight prompting connections to think about retiring her to the breeding barn which this morning they to do.
With the confirmed news that Oscietra has been retired to the breeding barn… Interest in the Black Caviar family swings to the Sebring colt Prince of Caviar. Down to debut at Sandown on Saturday.
