Boom colt Bivouac is set to line-up in either the Challenge Stakes or the Canterbury Stakes this weekend.
Godolphin trainer James Cummings is likely to bring star sprinter Bivouac back to Sydney to contest either the Canterbury Stakes over 1300m or the Challenge Stakes over 1000m at Randwick this week.
Bivouac on face value was disappointing in the G1 Lightning Stakes first up where he was the well backed short priced favourite but was beaten over two and a half lengths by Nature Strip which looks to have prompted Cummings to abort the horses Melbourne preparation early with the Newmarket Handicap now an unlikely option.
The star Godolphin sprinter is currently an $11 chance in Newmarket Handicap odds despite being in doubt to line-up in the race with September Run who was an eye catcher in the Lightning dominating the early betting at $2.50.
