It’s not unusual for wildlife to halt a race. Whether it’s a Kangaroo, Snake, Rabbit, Dog or even Sheep, animals dance to the beat of their own drum on a race track and that was the case at Hawkesbury this afternoon.
Prior to the Rowley Mile, the race was delayed by several minutes as a cow got loose and was on the track, something that you’d struggle to find anywhere else in the world. Thankfully everything was okay, the cow got off the track and the race was run, taken out by Bold Mac over Protagonist in a thrilling finish.
