Stewards were required to view the photo finish to determine the winner in Shetland Pony racing’s biggest event over the weekend.
A field of 13 took place in the Shetland Pony Grand National at Newmarket Racecourse on Saturday with two pony’s hitting the finish line locked together.
Zak Kent, 12, was awarded the winner of the charity event beating second place rider by a nose.
Rules for the Grand National dictate that jockeys have to be between 9 and 14 years old and be under 5ft tall.
Despite the win connections of the winner are reportedly not confident of securing a slot in The Everest.
