A three-year-old filly has been forced to change her name after having the one start.
The Darryl Kell trained ‘Reach Around’ has been forced to change her name by Racing Australia after it was deemed unfit to be used.
Reach Around had one start with her original name running at the back of the field in a Hawkesbury maiden with connections hoping her new name Out Wrapped will see her improve from that run.
Horse names that don’t meet Racing Australia’s requirements usually get knocked back during registration but this one was missed until social media questioned the name leading into her firs start.
