Do you come from a racing family?
No. My parents had a share in a racehorse when we were younger and thatβs where the love for racehorses grew.
What is your first racing memory?
Going to the races to watch a horse my parents had a share in called Princely Legend.
Who is your favourite horse and why?
Phar Lap, he was a warhorse.
Who is the best horse you’ve been involved with?
Bel Mer, I used to ride her trackwork.
And the best horse you have seen?
Winx.
Do you have any promising young horses for racing fans to look out for?
Immortal Triumph.
Who do you admire most in racing?
Mick Price.
Who is your ‘what if’ horse?
Anemoi. He was a very handy horse who always injured himself, spending a lot of time on the sidelines.
What is one change/improvement you’d love to see in racing?
Less benchmark races.
What is your favourite racing moment/biggest thrill?
When Anemoi ran second in the Bagot Handicap.
If you could time travel into a past racing moment what would it be?
The Phar Lap era.
Which horse of the past would you most like to have trained?
Imperatriz.
What is your favourite pastime outside of racing?
Sleep!
Favourite movie?
The Black Stallion.
Best concert you’ve seen?
Never been to one.
