Punters will rejoice after the plunge horse of the day landed the money at Sale on Thursday.
Spruik horse Barocha has landed the plunge for punters at Sale after a text message circulating throughout the racing community saw a massive go for the Clayton Douglas trained galloper who did not let punters down.
Barocha jumped in the mid field but a patient ride by jockey Jamie Kah saw the short priced favourite get cushy run throughout and she pulled the horse out early in the straight and let the horses class aid him in winning by a sizeable margin to give his backers a painless watch.
Barocha accounted for 84 percent of the total TAB Fixed Odds win hold with the biggest bet an $8000 wager at $1.80 placed today, resulting in a $14,400 collect.
“It is extremely rare for any non-metropolitan race on a Thursday to carry the amount of interest that has occurred for Race 2 at Sale today, but the majority of punters are celebrating Clayton Douglas’ first win as a trainer,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.
