The biggest bet ever taken on Champion mare Winx has been placed on her to win today’s Turnbull Stakes at Flemington.
Earlier this morning one TAB customer splashed out a whopping $170,000 at $1.16 on the champion mare to win the Group One Turnbull Stakes, eclipsing the previous mark of $155,000 which was placed at her previous start in the George Main Stakes.
It isn’t the only big bet taken this morning with some other notable investments already taken on Winx being $60,000 and $30,000 at $1.16 respectively. She is now into $1.14.

“Our customers haven’t waited around this time to have a crack at the great mare,” TAB’s Andrew Georgiou said.
“We didn’t see this level of activity on her until a lot closer to race time in the George Main but it seems as though no one wants to wait that long today.”
The Chris Waller mare is holding 97 percent of the total investment in today’s Group One TAB Turnbull Stakes.
