The feature race at Eagle Farm this Saturday is the Tatts Tiara (1400m), where the market says it is an open contest.
Down below is a speed map, runner preview and $100 betting strategy for 2026 Tatts Tiara.
2026 Tatts Tiara Runner Preview:
1. Splash Back: Market says she is the one to beat…for me? I think she is well under the odds, especially on a rock hard track. Clearly needs toe in, I am hard against her.
2. Abounding: Never a factor in the Stradbroke but her late splits weren’t bad. If she can settle closer and be within range, she’s dangerous for sure.
3. Manaal: Did more than enough when resuming in the Moreton Cup but in a sit/sprint, she just didn’t have the change up speed. Been set for the race, versatility re racing style, she commands respect.
4. Tuileries: Tuileries is several weeks between runs since giving them a start and a beating to win the Dark Jewel at Scone, producing a brilliant finale to score. Loved the way she trialled recently in readiness for this, she commands respect.
5. Midnight In Tokyo: If she wins, too good, but I just don’t think the form from the last start victory will stand up here vs other form lines.
6. Gerringong: Gerringong trialled up like a rocket for Team Munce prior to resuming in the Dane Ripper where she chased strongly in the straight when second to She’s Got Pizzazz. Fitter and up in trip…connections desperate to get that big win, and off the return, she’s in the mix.
7. Super Smink: Did a pretty good job from a wide gate in the Dane Ripper. Hit and miss but her best is good enough to be a cheeky outside chance.
8. Infancy: Race shape totally against her in the Bob Charley so forgive and forget. 1400m is a query but she has an electric finish on her. Not dismissing at a big price.
9. Melody Again: Complete barrier trial last Saturday in the Eye Liner. She will get back and launch late. A win wouldn’t shock.
10. Firestorm: Wasn’t really there to play in the Dane Ripper and ran accordingly. Waller in a Grand Final, cannot dismiss her because she is clearly good enough.
11. Ahha Ahha: Ahha Ahha should be better for the first up run in the Dane Ripper. Market kept her relatively safe at odds but she raced as if it was a barrier trial, just whacking to the line. Had trialled like a rocket prior and Waller in a Grand Final, I am not dismissing her.
12. Savagery Vibe: Caught the eye late in the Dane Ripper and is flying this prep. If she wins, too good, but I am against her.
13. Poster Girl: Very genuine mare who has done little wrong this time in but just think she lacks the killer blow to get the job done at this level.
14. Blindedbythelight: Reckon she was there to win last time over the mile but just didn’t run the trip. Back to 1400m a tick but looks outclassed.
15. Paradise City: Sneaky good late in the Dane Ripper but just don’t think she has the class.
16. Soft Love: Will get back and be strong late but I have others ahead of him.
17. Within The Law: I’ve been hot on Within The Law for this race for some time and won’t be dropping off. I thought she was very good in the Gunsynd given she was tardy away, had to use petrol to find a spot and I don’t think she was 100% happy on the bog. Back to 1400m, WFA, strong late, firmer deck…ticks a lot of boxes.
18. Bengal Diamond (First Emergency): Not up to these.
2026 Tatts Tiara $100 Betting Strategy:

Group l Strategy Outlay: $7400
Group l Strategy Return: $4927
2026 Tatts Tiara Speed Map
I can’t see much front end pressure here. Maybe Midnight In Tokyo and Gerringong? Roll the dice with Poster Girl? Not sure. It’s hard to find a designated leader, so the tempo early on will be quite interesting.
