Verry Elleegant has opened as favourite in Saturday's Group One Winx Stakes

Star mare Verry Elleegant has opened as the outright favourite in what looks to be a wide open Group One Winx Stakes this weekend.

Verry Elleegant will be resuming as will most of the leading contenders in the race and bookmakers have installed her as the horse to beat in a star studded list of entries for the first Group One for the season.

Master Of Wine sits on the second line of Winx Stakes betting at $6 with a handful of runners rounding out the horses in single figures which looks a mouth watering edition of the race to unofficially kick of the spring.
