Espiona heads the market for the Southern Cross Stakes
Espiona heads the Ladbrokes.com.au market for the Southern Cross Stakes (1200m) this afternoon at Randwick in what looks a wide open contest.
The Chris Waller trained mare didn’t really come up in the Spring but after a good break, has trialled up really well in readiness for the return and down in the weights from a soft gate, the market thinks she is the one to beat, sitting at $3.80.
The big firmer has been likely leader Titanium Power, a hard fit and in form gelding for Joe Pride. Opened $9 and is into $4.50. Gravina is first up for James Cummings and is rock solid at $4.80.
