One of the feature races at Rosehill this Saturday is the Run To The Rose (1200m), where the market says it is an open contest.

2026 Run To The Rose Runner Preview:
1. Fireball: Toughed it out best to win the Champagne before being spelled. Good colt, but don’t think he’s sharp enough for 1200m.
2. Tron Bolt: Tron Bolt is the class horse with the runs on the board. He was fabulous in his juvenile season, culminating in an impressive JJ Atkins triumph. He will be better at 1400m/1600m but he’ll be strong late and has class.
3. Berzelius: Thought he was just fair in the San Domenico and will be better suited up in trip…but may need another run.
4. Music Time: SCR
5. Warwoven: Warwoven was a total forgive in the San Domenico. The way the track played, plus the ride, he was never a winning threat, but I thought he closed off really well. More positive ride, he’s good enough to threaten at a price.
6. Revengeance: Thought he was plain in the San Domenico and he can go through to the keeper.
7. St Gotthard: I don’t think he’s the best of the Waller colts re ability but at 1200m, he’s the top seed, as evidenced by J Mac riding, and his trial work indicates he’s here to play.
8. Plagiarism: He lacks the class but is the likely leader and from the front, he’ll run a cheeky race.
9. Cormier: Big, big fan of Cormier and keen to see how he goes fresh. Dry track, I think he’s the best three year old colt in Australia. Wet tracks cost him against Tron Bolt both at this track and then in the JJ Atkins. Trialled up super, I think he’ll run an absolute belter.
10. Stormy Marco: SCR
11. Central Europe: Lot of hype about this horse…me? I don’t see it. He’s still a maiden, he has been safely held each time…just way overhyped.
12. Under Focus: Real eye catcher in The Rosebud and the tick over trial was very good. Keen to see how he goes.
13. Castillo King: He’ll spot them a start but should be strong late and is one for exotics.
