Punters are happy to take the short odds about Winx this weekend
Champion mare Winx opened at skinny odds of $1.10 but that has not deterred punters from hammering the World’s Best Horse in Saturday’s Apollo Stakes at Randwick.
Winx opened at $1.12 in all-in markets on Monday and has continued to shorten in betting with bookies opening her this morning at $1.10 in Final Field markets which punters have been happy to take which has seen her odds shorten further into $1.08.
Winx will be out to make it thirty straight wins in the Group Two event over 1400m and she will again carry the weight of punters with two massive bets $150,000 at $1.10 having been placed on her already.
