Over The Odds 17/6/2023 – Saturday’s Horse Racing Value Tips and Bets

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Rosehill Race Seven Number 4 Benaud ($15):

Benaud…yes, it is Benaud. But, seriously…how does he not run well against these? This is the first time in over 12 months that he hasn’t been placed in a tough race and is placed to advantage. He hasn’t raced since the Mornington Cup when back in the run and closed off well behind Right You Are. Back to 2000m, back miles in grade/depth. gee I think he will only run well.

Flemington Race Four Number 4 I Am Bene ($7.00):

I Am Bene is a beauty for Andrew Clarken and with natural improvement from the resumption, she is going to take beating. She resumed a few weeks ago in the Proud Miss and despite little luck in the straight, I thought she found the line really well late behind Snapped. Good second up record and drops miles in grade/depth. Hard to beat, quite clearly.

Ipswich Race Four Number 4 Flensburg ($7.50):

Flensburg has found good form since dropping back to Provincial grade and with that remaining the case here, I think he’s hard to beat. He has run here his past two, winning impressively two back before a closing second to Savvy Legend over 2170m. He has won up to 2400m so 2500m here should be fine and now he’s in form, he can go on with it and prove to be a leading contender.

Ipswich Race Nine Number 2 Better Get Set ($12):

Better Get Set is dangerous. O’Dea/Hoysted trained mare that resumed in the Lightning at Eagle Farm in what was essentially a barrier trial for her given she got dragged back from the wide gate and was allowed to find the line nicely enough. You’d think there will be more intent this time around and she does have a good second up record. Big improver.
