Over The Odds 1/7/2023 – Saturday’s Horse Racing Value Tips and Bets

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting. Hopefully we can continue on from last Saturday after finding Aristonous at $16.

Rosehill Race Five Number 8 Salire ($18):

Salire has an awful racing pattern but brings the metro form, which usually stands up in Highway races. That run came at the midweeks at Warwick Farm and I thought he found the line really well behind Deep Expectation, beaten just over two lengths. He’ll likely be spotting them a start but will be stronger than most late.

Rosehill Race Six Number 2 Wingardium ($27):

Wingardium is certainly good enough with her best. Bjorn Baker trained filly that resumed at the midweeks at Warwick Farm where I thought she seemingly had every chance under J Mac but didn’t fire in the straight and was a bit on the plain side behind Omni Man. Has that run under the belt and is a second up winner, so don’t dismiss her.

Rosehill Race Nine Number 16 Bazooka ($15):

Bazooka has won at the trip previously and the way he has returned, the rise to it now seems ideal. He ran over the mile at Randwick three weeks ago and I thought was pretty good from off the speed when a closing fourth to Democracy Manifest, beaten just over a length. Third up so should be hard fit now, can settle closer and still be effective late.

Sunshine Coast Race Seven Number 13 Knight’s Choice ($15):

Knight’s Choice is a horse I have had time for since pretty much day one. Tragedy beaten at Ipswich and since then, he has won three on the bounce, the latest coming last Wednesday at Doomben where he gave them a start and a beating in an impressive display over the mile, proving to be strong late. IMO, he looks an ideal candidate to head to Hong Kong but confident he measures up here.
