Online bookmaker sportsbet has installed Kiwi galloper Ocean Park as the $2.50 favourite for the Caulfield Stakes on Saturday.

Ocean Park, who was impressive winning the Underwood Stakes at his last start, will use the Group 1 as his lead in to the Cox Plate.

Manighar, from the powerful Peter Moody yard, is second favourite at $3.00, with Sincero next at $5.00 and the only other runner under double figures.
Sincero and Manighar were strongly fancied in the Underwood, but finished unplaced behind Ocean Park.
“Ocean Park was super impressive in the Underwood and deserves to be favourite. He’s meeting similar opposition here and by all reports has improved since his last run,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
“In saying that, you have to forgive horses for one bad run, as is the case with Manighar and Sincero. A much improved run from either or both would not surprise.”
Excluded, Mawingo and Alcopop have all been opened at $11, with Midas Touch and Sanagas the $41 outsiders.
Meanwhile, Pierro continues to firm in Caulfield Guineas betting, into $1.25 from $1.30, with Epaulette ($8.00) and All Too Hard ($15) rounding out the top three in betting.
