The punter with the TAB placed a $50,000 win bet on Cross Counter to win Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup at odds of $10 which has seen the horses price shorten into $9.00.
Cross Counter currently sits on the third line of betting behind Yucatan ($5.50) and Magic Circle ($8.00).
