Matron Stakes a lottery for punters

Ladbrokes.com.au punters are looking towards class when it comes to the Matron Stakes (1600m) this Saturday at Flemington.

Barb Raider was solid enough when resuming at Sandown but now gets to her favourite track, a rise in trip and has good upside. With those factors considered, punters are warming to her early, into $4.80 from $5.50, and is a clear favourite.

Excelida is on the second line of betting at $6 alongside Toregene. Inspirational Girl is the class of the field and is being kept safe at $7.
