3. Lonhro’s Queen: Talented mare with a query at a strong 1300m, but she has a dynamic turn of foot. Her win in the Nudgee was excellent, sprinting from off speed and safely holding Midnight In Tokyo. If she runs the trip, she can win.
4. Jenni The Fox: A1 run in transit in the Black Pearl and made a mess of them late. Confidence is high, maps well again and commands plenty of respect.
5. Countyourblessings: Hit-and-miss mare. Plain in the Just Now first-up but bounced back with a Randwick win. Dangerous on her day but hard to trust.
6. It’s A Knockout: On paper, not an ideal setup with just one soft trial last week at Kembla, but being Bong Bong-based she’s likely had more work than that suggests. Well prepared, quality mare and owned by Dynamic, who love to show off on this day. I think she’ll run a beauty.
7. Sunset Dreaming: Bursting to win for Tony Gollan. Got back again in the Nudgee but closed off strongly behind Lonhro’s Queen. If within range, her finale makes her a genuine threat.
8. Russian Alliance: Just fair in the Just Now and this looks too hard.
9. Poster Girl: Got the A1 run last Saturday and duly saluted. Talented and in form, but I’m not sold on her at this level.
10. Yes Lulu: The real eye-catcher behind Poster Girl last Saturday. Can settle closer this time and any rain only improves her chances.
11. Wooloowin: Solid late when resuming but not up to this level.
12. Lady Shotgun: Racing well for something easier. Not here.
13. Miss Personality: SCR
14. Just In Time: Quality about her New Year’s Day return win and this stable can surprise on a big day. Wouldn’t be dismissing her entirely.
15. Miss Kim Kar: Too far back behind Poster Girl last Saturday. Will need a very good ride to threaten.
16. Scripted: A Mallyon off could be one of the better gear changes going. She’s still attacked the line despite poor rides and is up to this level. Could be a Country Championships type, but the gate almost seals her fate.
17. Bright Blonde: Not up to these.
18. Hoot N Holler: Not up to these.
19. Miss Cartel (First Emergency): Looks outclassed.
