There hasn’t been a great deal that has impressed me recently at the trials and jump outs, but there certainly were a couple worth mentioning from the Flemington jump outs on Friday morning. Find out down below.
BLACK BOOK: Black Book these runners HERE and don’t miss their next run!
Flemington- Friday, April 10, Weather Fine, Track Good.
Heat Five- Let’s Make A Deal (1st):
Talented mare that probably didn’t reach any great heights during the Spring, with her best effort being a third in the Herbert Power, but she did look pretty sharp in this jump out win where she jumped well, ran along in front, kicked clear in the straight under riding and went through the line very strongly. Not sure what her goals are this prep, but she should acquit herself well.
Heat Seven- Spruiking (1st):
Kav has had a few spruik horses in recent times, and this was one of them before he debuted. He had three runs in his opening prep and was just ok, but he looks right on target for a winning prep after this jump out win. He got away well from the gates to lead, looked to travel very strongly in the run and ended up going to the line under a really good hold.
Heat Nine- Miss Sazoo (2nd):
Matthew Ellerton and Simon Zahra trained three year old maiden that had three runs in her opening prep and her best effort was a third in an Ararat maiden. She looks to have improved significantly since then. She jumped quickly to lead and lead comfortably in this particular jump out, was headed off with about 75m to go but was under no pressure from the rider.
