Punters were more than happy to be on Ayrton in the James Squire Gunsynd Classic (1600 metres).

Ellsberg ($3.70-$3.30) was best tried to beat him but he only held a fifth of the money that the winner did.

RACE FOUR – BRISBANE CUP

There was a confidence about for Knight’s Order all day leading into the running of the Lexus Brisbane Cup (3200 metres).

The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained runner was $3.40 into $2.90 at one point of the day before a late drift saw it start $3.50.

He was the second most popular runner in terms of money held behind Carif ($4.20-$3.60).

The Annabel Neasham-trained galloper went $1.45 in the morning and was crunched into $1.26, riding countless big bets and multis.

He was 10 times as popular as anything else in the race with Toffee tongue ($10-$21) next best tried outside him.

Overall, Zaaki held 62 percent of the total investment.

Money all week suggested Converge would be the one to beat in the Treasury Brisbane JJ Atkins (1600 metres).

Out of the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott yard, Converge was backed from $3.20 into $2.80 on the day despite the big money for his main rival in the market, Port Louis.

Converge was a horror result for TAB and held well over half the market in the Group One feature.

Port Louis ($5-$3.20) was a big firmer late but still held only a quarter of the money that the winner did.

RACE EIGHT – TAB STRADBROKE HANDICAP

A late rally for Tofane paid dividends in the feature event of the day – the TAB Stradbroke Handicap (1400 metres).

Mike Moroney’s mare went $10-$14 throughout the day but a late push saw the daughter of Ocean Park start an $11 chance. She did attracted handy eachway investments throughout the day.

Vega One ($6-$4.60-$5) jumped a clear favourite while Apache Chase ($11-$7) was backed into second favouritism.

Mr Quickie ($9.50-$7.50-$8) went around holding the most money and accounted for 10 percent of the total on the race.

BETS: Tofane $1,000 e/w @ $13/$4.20

RACE NINE – DANE RIPPER STAKES

In a wide open affair it was Brooklyn Hustle which finished best to take out the Magic Millions Dane Ripper Stakes (1300 metres).

Punters cast a wide net in the final event of the day with Sweet Deal ($5-$4.60-$4.80) going around as favourite and as the most popular horse.

Exhilarates ($10-$9.50-$11) was the only other horse to attract six figures.

Brooklyn Hustle was the third best tried after the abovementioned duo and hovered around the $8 mark for most of the afternoon.

BETS: Brooklyn Hustle $2,000 e/w @ $8/$2.80

RANDWICK

RACE SEVEN

Adelong was very solid all day for the running of the Bob Charley AO Stakes (1100 metres).

Hovering around the $5.50-$6 mark for most of the day before jumping at the former quote, Adelong landed some nice investments.

Wandabaa ($4-$5.50) ran up to her form to finish second and was actually the most popular runner with TAB in terms of money held.

Ballistic Lover ($4.80-$5) and Fituese ($4.40-$4 fav) had plenty riding on them.
