She’s unbeaten in four runs, and Sportsbet.com.au punters believe Wawail will make it a quintet of wins in The Vanity (1400m) this Saturday at Flemington, clearly being the best backed runner in the race, perhaps even the entire nine race card.
She was a very impressive winner first up at this track a few weeks ago, and given she does have the race fitness edge on her main rivals, punters believe that will be enough to get her home, firming to $2.30 from $2.70.
Maastricht, who didn’t handle the tight turns at Canterbury first up behind Hobartville Stakes contender Meursault, opened $4.80, got to $4.60 but now currently sits at $5. The other key runner is the Oaks winner Set Square. She did have support, firming to $8.50 from $7.50, but now sits at $8.
The only other backed runner is Clover Lane, who was $9 from $11 but now has eased a point to $10.
