Race One Number 2 Tango Rain (1st):
I liked this horse here and wasn’t surprised to see strong market support. He bounced out of the gates comfortably to lead and never really looked in doubt. Little freshen up and he could easily win some blacktype, which would be huge given how well he is bred.
Race Seven Number 8 Redzel (1st):
Thought this was a really good win considering he had to work from the gate to lead at a good tempo and he was there to be beaten, but he showed some grit in the straight to get the job done. Not sure if he can win blacktype against the seasoned campaigners, but at this level, he’ll be hard to beat.

(Forgive) Race Four Number 1 Yulong Baby (4th):
Just forget she went around here. Pace was an absolute crawl and she really had no hope given the way the race was run. She is ticking over beautifully and hopefully a coming winner very soon.
Race Five Number 3 Powderworks (7th):
Really liked the first up run here. Looked as if she was going to be a real threat when she was about to angle clear, but she got shoved back in and lost all momentum. Drop back to midweeks and she wins.

Race Five Number 4 Magical Stance (4th):
Not going to make the excuse that he pulled early on, because soon after he did relax sweetly and he had his chance. Talented, but his record is suggesting that he cannot be trusted. He can win without me.
Race Seven Number 7 Shamalia (9th):
Trialled sensationally prior to the first up run, but she has done nothing. She can sit on the pine until the breeding barn calls.

Doomben Race Four Number 7 Londehero (1st)- Robbie Fradd:
Clear ride of the day for mine. Had the horse in a sweet spot near the inside before angling into three wide cover and really, from the home turn it was painless. Horse is flying, but the ride sure helped.
Flemington Race Two Number 1 Kenjorwood (2nd)- Ben Allen:
I love Ben Allen as a rider, but tactically, this was an absolute howler. He jumped well and was clearly holding Pin Your Hopes, but for some reason, took the sit, and really the race was done and dusted after that. As I said, he is a really good up and coming rider, but this wasn’t one of his best.
