Andrew Vouris has been officially confirmed as the chief executive officer of Entain Australia and New Zealand, following a successful interim stint in the role since June.
Vouris takes the reins at a pivotal time for the Australasian arm of the global wagering powerhouse, replacing long-serving CEO Dean Shannon, who stepped down earlier this year after leading the company since 2019. Shannon’s departure marked the end of a significant chapter for Entain’s local operations, which oversee major brands including Ladbrokes and Neds.
Entain initiated an international search to secure a new leader, but ultimately decided that the right candidate was already in the chair. Vouris, who had been steering the business in an acting capacity for the past two-and-a-half months, has now been handed the role on a permanent basis.
