The Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained Dollar For Dollar is headed to The TAB Everest at Royal Randwick this Saturday with Aquis selecting the eight-year-old gelding to replace the injured Farnan for their slot in the world’s richest race on turf.
Dollar For Dollar – inserted as a $34 chance at TAB for The Everest – has raced 30 times for eight wins, seven seconds and two thirds.
Dollar For Dollar is a dual Group 3 winner and has been placed three times at Group 1 level including two starts back with a runner-up finish to fellow TAB Everest aspirant Behemoth in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield on September 19.
Dollar For Dollar finished second to Zoutori last start in the Gilgai Stakes over 1200 metres at Flemington on October 3.
