Following this morning’s barrier draw, Dawn Passage is the $3 outright favourite with TAB for the inaugural Inglis Millennium at Warwick Farm on Saturday.
Dawn Passage, trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, was victorious at his only start on Australia Day at Randwick and has barrier seven in the 15-horse field.
The Chris Waller-trained Accession, who has won consecutive races after finishing second on debut, has eased from $3 to $3.20 after barrier 14 was drawn.
“As is the often the case with barrier draws, Dawn Passage hasn’t budged from the $3 that was on offer due to what is considered a reasonable gate whereas Accession has drifted from $3 to $3.20,” TAB’s Glenn Munsie said.
Espaaniyah, who opened a $6 TAB favourite in the ‘Pre Nominations’ market in early December on the back of her Inglis Banner win at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day, is now rated a $15 chance along with Pandano and Blazing Miss.
The two-year-olds in the $2 million Inglis Millennium will be the highlight at Warwick Farm on Saturday, but the three-year-olds will also feature in the $1 million Inglis Sprint.
Last year’s Golden Slipper winner Estijaab opened the $3.50 ‘Final Field’ favourite, but there has been immediate support for Fiesta, who has tightened from $4.50 to $3.50.
